Why our process works
AI tools don’t transform delivery. People with a system do.
Most engineering orgs treat AI as a purchase. Buy the assistant, run the rollout, wait for the productivity. It rarely lands, because AI changes how a team plans, builds, reviews, ships, and learns. The orgs that pull ahead change all of it at once.
Our system is built for exactly that: the process redesigned around what AI can actually do, AI deployed inside the discipline of that process, and senior people in the room to run it.
The system without the practitioners is a slide deck. The practitioners without the system are a staff-aug shop. We don’t do either.

Every engagement is led by senior engineers, supported by a team we’ve grown ourselves through a process our leadership has spent 20+ years refining. On a recent PE-backed engagement, that meant spec-driven agentic delivery that paid down tech debt a piece at a time, without dropping the engineering standards.

- Who is Sigao Studios?
- Sigao Studios is a senior-led software delivery and transformation firm headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, founded in 2017. We're engineers, coaches, and platform builders who help mid-size SaaS companies ship faster with AI — and leave behind a way of working their teams keep running after we're gone.
- Who actually leads a Sigao engagement?
- The people on this page. Every engagement is led by a senior practitioner — the same person who was on your discovery call — and they stay accountable from kickoff to handoff. No bait-and-switch where a partner pitches and a rotating bench delivers.
- Is Sigao a senior-only shop?
- No, and that's deliberate. Teams mix senior leads with engineers we've grown ourselves, because capability-building is the model — our juniors learn inside our process on our dime, and your engineers build inside the same team. That mix is how the way of working transfers instead of leaving with us.
- Where does Sigao work — do we need to be near Birmingham?
- No. We're headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama and work with companies across the US, keeping working hours that overlap with yours. Much of our work is with SaaS companies in secondary markets the coastal consultancies fly over — teams used to being someone's smallest account.
