About Sigao
Pilots, not passengers.
We’re senior-led teams of engineers, coaches, and platform builders, led by people who’ve spent two decades building software and growing the teams that ship it. We help engineering leaders put AI to work without lowering the bar.
What we run on
Our values come first.
We wrote these before anything else, then built the services and the framework on top. They decide who we hire, how we run an engagement, and what we’re willing to turn down.
- Nº 01
People Come First
Dignity, agency, trust.
- Nº 02
Relationships Drive Results
Trust is the foundation.
- Nº 03
Accountability Stays Human
Never outsourced to AI.
- Nº 04
Learning Is Paramount
Growth as a goal.
- Nº 05
Move Fast and Build Things
Quickly, never recklessly.
- Nº 06
Ethics, Built-In
Confront harm honestly.
- Nº 07
Outcomes Over Output
Value, not volume.
- Nº 08
Transparency Builds Trust
Especially when it's hard.
Why our process works
AI tools don’t transform delivery. People with a system do.
Most engineering orgs treat AI as a purchase. Buy the assistant, run the rollout, wait for the productivity. It rarely lands, because AI changes how a team plans, builds, reviews, ships, and learns. The orgs that pull ahead change all of it at once.
Our system is built for exactly that: the process redesigned around what AI can actually do, AI deployed inside the discipline of that process, and senior people in the room to run it.
The system without the practitioners is a slide deck. The practitioners without the system are a staff-aug shop. We don’t do either.
Why us
We bring the best and grow the best.
Our clients are CTOs and VPs of Engineering at mid-size SaaS — Series B–D, 50 to 300 engineers — under pressure to ship faster and prove AI is paying off. If you’re answering to a board or a PE sponsor on that, you leave with a sequenced plan, DORA-style metrics you can defend, and a straight read on what AI will and won’t do on your timeline.
Every engagement is led by senior engineers, supported by a team we’ve grown ourselves through a process our leadership has spent 20+ years refining. Senior judgment is always on the work, and our newer engineers learn inside it, not on your dime. On a recent PE-backed engagement, that meant spec-driven agentic delivery that paid down tech debt a piece at a time, without dropping the engineering standards.
The person on your discovery call is one of them. They show up on Monday after you sign, and they’re still there at handoff. When the engagement ends, your team owns the code, the patterns, and what we built together.
The shape of the team
Everyone here is hands on the work.
Every engagement brings together Engagement Leads, senior engineers, platform builders, coaches, and the software engineers coming up beside them. Nobody is here to fill a seat; they come to ship.

Chris Sims
Managing Partner
20+ years building enterprise software. Shapes engagements end to end and keeps Sigao pointed at the outcome instead of the hours. At home he cooks dinners more complicated than they need to be, and they beat the restaurant version most nights, with Tilly working the floor for dropped evidence.

Brandon Bosco
Senior Firm Lead · Agentic Orchestration
Owns how Sigao builds, deploys, and validates AI agents inside delivery work. If a pattern hasn't survived a real engagement, it doesn't make the deck. His homelab runs more local models than anyone needs, mostly so he can watch them break.

Luke Colburn
Senior Firm Lead · Platform Engineering
Runs the platform engineering practice: CI/CD, deployment safety, internal tooling, and the AI infrastructure delivery teams build on. Weekends, he's at the painting desk working through a Warhammer 40k backlog one thin coat at a time.

Carter Musick
Senior Firm Lead · Software Engineering
Heads software engineering across delivery engagements: owns the quality bar, mentors the senior engineers, and keeps the codebase honest. At home he stocks an indefensible shelf of bitters, spirits, and obscure liqueurs, and insists each one serves a distinct architectural purpose.

McCaul Baggett
Senior Firm Lead · Transformation Services
Runs our Align & Enable engagements, coaching leadership through change and standing up the practices that make a new operating model stick after we leave. On weekends he coaches a youth sports team he swears is tougher to run than any C-suite.

Corey Stewart
Operations Manager
Handles scope, contracts, scheduling, and the operational detail that lets the practitioners stay heads-down. The family calendar he runs at home has more swimlanes than most engineering orgs.

Rich Roberts
Senior Software Engineer
The one we put on the hardest engagements, where the room hits a wall and somebody has to take the next swing. Mentors the engineers around him while he's at it. Off the clock, he'll play any sport that involves catching something thrown hard.

Matt Haikala
Senior Software Engineer
Senior delivery practitioner who stays hands-on the keyboard with the customer in mind and the discipline to keep the work shippable. He's undefeated at NFL Blitz against every coworker brave enough to pick up a controller.

Katelyn Yaeger
Software Engineer
Notices when 'done' isn't actually done, and says so. Senior judgment, hands on the keyboard. Keeps a mental list of every 'temporary' workaround ever shipped, and it haunts her exactly as much as it should.

Chris Berggren
Software Engineer
Hears what the customer is really asking for in a demo, not just what's on the backlog. Sharp judgment, deep focus. Would rather be at Waffle House at any given moment, with the nearest AMC running a respectable second.

Ross Beckham
Software Engineer
Builds software by day and turns dinner into a controlled experiment by night; both rely on timing, tight feedback, and knowing which failures are recoverable.

Bring us the problem. We’ll ask the hard questions and tell you honestly whether this is work we should be doing. If it isn’t, we’ll point you to someone who fits better.
